De-stressing – Menu Planning

 

Today is a good day to plan your menu for the next two weeks.  This first day on menu planning may take a little time, but it will help to make the menu planning easier here after.

 

1.       Check the sales flyers from your local grocery stores.  Use these flyers to plan your menus, incorporating the; meat, vegetables, fruit, etc that are on sale as a guide.

2.       Go through your recipe cards and books to decide what you will prepare for meals for the next two weeks.

3.       On a sheet of paper start your grocery shopping list. 

4.       Write down all the products that you need to buy for each recipe, on your shopping list.

5.       Use another piece of paper to start your menu.  On your menu sheet note the

­             recipe name

­             cookbook title

­             page number of the recipe

6.       If the recipe is on a card pull the card out and write the name of the recipe on your menu sheet.  Attach this to your menu sheet.

7.       Beside the recipe name write down all the vegetables, dessert, etc. that will complete the meal.

8.       As you decide on a meal to prepare write down all that your grocery shopping list.

9.       Continue in this way until all menus for the next two weeks have been planned.

10.     Make sure that your grocery list includes everything that you will require; including spices, condiments, etc.
