Changing the Background Colour and Text Size of a web page
Website Colours:
1. Click 'tools' at the very top of your browser window.
2. A dropdown menu will appear.
3. From this, select 'Internet options'.
4. Another box will appear.
5. Look for the button marked 'accessibility' at the bottom right of the screen and click on it.
6. A new box will appear.
7. Check the box next to 'ignore colours specified on web pages'.
8. When a tick appears in the box click 'OK' to close the box.
9. In the 'Internet options' box (which should still be open, if it isn't you can open it again from the 'tools' menu on your browser) click the button labelled 'colours'.
10. Another box will open.
11. Uncheck the box marked 'use windows colours'.
12. Click the rectangle to the right of 'text' and choose a text colour
13. Click the rectangle to the right of 'background' and choose a background colour.
14. Click 'OK' when you're done.
You should find that most pages you visit now automatically have large text that is yellow on a black background.
These instructions apply to Internet Explorer. In different browsers the menus and buttons may have slightly different names.
Text Size:
1. Click 'view' at the very top of your browser window.
2. A dropdown menu will appear.
3. Select 'text size' and then 'largest'. Immediately, the text will be a lot bigger.
