About Our Clinic

The Multiple Sclerosis Neuro-Rehab Clinic provides a patient-centered, multidisciplinary approach for the diagnosis, management and treatment of persons with Multiple Sclerosis, their families and caregivers.

The mandate of the Clinic is to:

Provide and coordinate patient care services

Provide education and support to persons with Multiple Sclerosis and their families

Promote and participate in Multiple Sclerosis research

Provide a resource to other healthcare professionals and the community

The Multiple Sclerosis Neuro-Rehab Clinic is for persons who have been previously diagnosed or who are suspected of having Multiple Sclerosis. Anyone interested in being seen by a physician at the Clinic must first obtain a referral from their family doctor, neurologist, or other specialist. Following receipt of this information an appointment will be made.

On the first visit to the Clinic, the person will be assessed by the physicians, who will establish and/or confirm a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, and provide a plan for follow-up care and/or disease management.

The Clinic maintains a voluntary, confidential registry of all patients for the purpose of collecting data for epidemiological studies and other research projects.  As well, the Clinic is involved with the National Genetic Study.  Persons with a family history of Multiple Sclerosis, or who are interested in having their name included in the patient registry are encouraged to contact the Clinic, and a Patient Information Survey will be mailed to complete and return.

The Multiple Sclerosis Neuro-Rehab Clinic is also involved in the education and the follow-up of persons with Multiple Sclerosis who have been approved for the Saskatchewan MS Drugs Program.
